Serama hatcheries and breeders by variety
Malaysian vs. American Seramas
Malaysian and American Seramas have slightly different body types.
Malaysian varieties tend to have a more upright, vertical stance and protruding chest.
You can see an example of a Malaysian Serama rooster in the photo below.
Serama colors and feather textures
Most Serama breeders hatch Seramas in several different colors and patterns, and they don’t specify what you’re going to get—this is part of the fun of Seramas!
However, Alchemist Farm and Garden in California specifies they offer the following color varieties:
White
Partridge
Mottled
And this breeder is especially unique because their Seramas are silked! In their own words, “If you love the look and feel of Silkie chickens but don’t like their feathered legs and feet, then the Silked Serama is your chicken match!”
And Featherbaby Farms in California offers both regular Seramas and Frizzle Seramas.
As for all the other Serama hatcheries and breeders, click on their icons in the map up top for more information. You may have to contact them for specifics.
